Tropicalia Bistro food truck is the first full Brazilian “snack bar on wheels” in the US. Its unique layout allows the customer to view the freshly cooked snacks through the warmer’s viewing window. The food truck was launched in Montgomery, TX, in July of 2017. The idea was to introduce to this country the same quick meals that I’ve cooked for my teenage sons. These meals are great for travel and “on the run” schedules.
“Salgadinhos” are the Brazilian fast food. There are a huge variety of these “savory pastries” such as “coxinha”, “kibbeh”, “empanadas” and “pastel frito” which are filled with chicken, beef or pork, along with vegetables and different types of cheese. Some are baked and others deep fried. There’s also a traditional Brazilian hot dog which is a meal in itself. The “buraco quente”(hot hole), which originated in Sao Paulo, is another full meal sandwich that we sell, filled with meats, sauteed vegetables and topped with melted cheese. We also carry some gluten-free breakfast items that we serve all day. To top it all off, we brought in our “guarana’ & “diet guarana”. These delightful sodas are made with wild berries from the Amazon rainfall forest and it’s one of Brazil’s own and favorite drinks.
These are just some of the snacks and drinks we offer at Tropicalia Bistro food truck.
